What Are Tally Marks?
Tally marks are a fun way to count things!
We use straight lines to count, and every fifth mark is a diagonal line across the previous four. It's like making little groups of five to help us count quickly!
How to Make Tally Marks
1️⃣ Draw one line for each thing you count
2️⃣ After four lines, make the fifth line diagonal across them
3️⃣ Start a new group of five after each diagonal line
Let's Practice Together!
